Shadow Reading 1hr x 4 weeks

$228.00

Shadow work is the psychological practice of exploring and integrating the hidden, repressed parts of yourself—your "shadow"—which include disowned traits, fears, insecurities, and desires, to achieve greater self-awareness, healing, and wholeness, often involving journaling, therapy, or confronting uncomfortable emotions and patterns. Originating from Carl Jung's concepts, it involves shining light into the unconscious to understand why you react strongly or behave in self-sabotaging ways, ultimately bringing hidden aspects into conscious awareness for growth.

Session Length: 1 hour once a week for 4 weeks.

* Session will be conducted by phone call or video conference, per your request. Practitioner will contact you to schedule.

What it involves:
Acknowledging the Hidden: Identifying qualities or impulses (like anger, vulnerability, or ambition) you've pushed away due to societal norms or past experiences.
Exploring Negative Patterns: Examining emotional outbursts, addictions, self-sabotage, or relationship issues that signal unresolved inner conflicts.
Self-Reflection: Using tools like journaling, meditation, or art to uncover and process these disowned parts, often feeling uncomfortable before feeling better.
Integration: Bringing these hidden aspects into your conscious self, not to embrace negativity, but to understand and harmonize them, leading to a more complete identity.
Signs you might need shadow work:
Exaggerated reactions to people or situations.
Recurring self-sabotaging behaviors.
Strong feelings of jealousy or judgment towards others.
Anxiety, depression, or unexplained anger.
